Nil took me out both days. Lovely windy city. The suburbs are so empty, you don’t see too many people for miles. Coming from namma ooru, I was so very happy to experience this. Des plaines was our first outing and it almost remined me of the place where Joe Pesci ordered eggs and  grits in My cousin Vinny. We went to Pho dung gia for lunch and had some pho. I mean what the pho. It was yumm. Much better and authentic than the pho we get back home.

Walked around a bit and had a couple of beers at Tap house grill. Lovely place to just chill. Went to Walmart for some grocery shopping and got my pre-paid local number. In case some of you haven’t got my message it’s +1 615 439 8869.

Came back and crashed. And yes, this time I’ve been hit by jet lag. Strugging to stay awake during the day and can’t wait to hit the bed in the evening. So no major late nights unlike last time around for now.

After finsihing some work on 30th, ventured out to downtown. First stop was at Cardozo’s pub. Very unassuming little place. Kinda like Tavern. Had a burger and a few beers before heading out to explore the city. Walked for over two hours in an around Millenium park. Took patel shots at Cloud gate and Trump tower. Drank some more at Emmit’s pub, made famous by one Mr Daniel Ocean. Lagunitas is my favourite beer brand so far.

Chi town in windy and been raining last couple of days. Such a relief from the bangaluru heat although I’ve had to layer up more than usual.

Heading to the country music capital this evening. AC and PD are in for some entertainment.

Thanks Nil for these three days despite my state of mind. Will be back soon. Cheers.
