I landed at 3:00 PM Chicago time after a short layover in Dubai. Flight was ok, although I was still reeling from the personal loss. Spent most of the time thinking of her and trying to find answers. May not really get them so easily, so will just wait it out.

The immigration queue was 2 hour long and post that I was grilled for another hour as if I had committed some crime. For the first time, I hated this country and its people. Don’t want to get into the details as it doesn’t really serve any purpose. But, yeah…<sarcasm>I do hope Trump becomes the President and this country becomes “great again”. </sarcasm>

Nilisha and Rahul unfortunately waited for me for so long without knowing what the hell was going on with me and why I was taking so much time to get out. It was good to see a familiar face after the travel and all the emotions clouding over me.

We drove stright to the United Center to watch Bulls vs Hawks. Although I’ve been wanting to do this from my college days, somewhere I knew I was doing this more for M as this was in her bucket list too. She would’ve been on top of the world had she been here. Game was good despite Bulls losing. Nil got me Beer and Hotdog to cheer me up. Back home, dinner, a drink and it was time to hit the bed and not think/ feel anything for a bit.

Got up this morning to feel what 5 degrees felt like. Wasn’t as bad as thought. 🙂
