Another fantastic day. Took a train to SF city. Its amazing how it all works here. Getting a ticket from a kiosk is as easy as buying candy from a store. There’s a seperate coach for bikes. But what was even more awesome was the fact that when we missed a station, we just had to get off and without exiting that station, take another train back. No extra payments, no penalty, no “aha! nanna magane, traveling without tickat ah? baaa, fine kattu”. It’s just super cool how everything just works, they way its supposed to.
Took a nice long walk to Pier 39 for our 90 minutes boat ride to Alcatraz and around. Breathtaking and creepy at the same time. Some of the stories of the inmates, their living conditions and their desperate attempt to escape this facility is as chilling as the water around here.
SF city is beautiful. Thanks to a nice sunny day, we spent a lot of time walking around, before we reached the flagship store of Uniqlo. What an outstanding store. I went on a shopping spree like a little girl out of control in a mall.
Ended the day with pitcher of ‘watermelon wheat’ beer at Slider bar.
Lots of pics to chose from, managed to pick a few from over 100 clicked today.
